P4HR Submits Proposal for HIMS Seminar Representation
Pilots for HIMS Reform (P4HR) is proud to announce that we have officially submitted our proposal to be recognized as a coalition at the upcoming 2025 HIMS Seminar.
Until now, pilots have typically attended this annual event as isolated individuals. This year, we are seeking formal acknowledgment as a unified coalition — not just as a group of pilots pursuing personal resolutions, but as an organized movement representing the broader aviation community and advocating for meaningful reform across the HIMS program.
While our primary mission is to advocate for pilots, we are equally committed to supporting the many medical and legal professionals who are also impacted by the current structure. From what we’ve learned through ongoing dialogue with participants across all sectors, one message is clear: nearly everyone in this system agrees that reform is necessary.
In addition to our request for coalition representation, and per the direct invitation of the HIMS Program Director, we have also submitted a formal list of recommended session topics for possible inclusion in the seminar agenda. While acceptance is not guaranteed, the opportunity to contribute ideas signals a meaningful shift toward inclusive dialogue and acknowledgment of the diverse voices involved in this program.
📅 HIMS Seminar Details:
- Dates: September 15–17, 2025
- Location: The Westin Hotel at Denver International Airport (DIA), Denver, Colorado
We strongly encourage any coalition members who are able to attend to do so. This seminar is more than a learning opportunity — it is a chance to speak, be heard, and help drive change. Whether you're just beginning your journey or you've been navigating this system for years, your experience matters — and this is the time to share it.
We firmly believe that if you are currently in the HIMS program, this is the safest time in history to advocate for yourself. We fully understand the fear that many experience around self-advocacy, but you will not be alone. You will be doing it with Pilots for HIMS Reform standing firmly behind you. We will be present at the seminar to support, guide, and protect those who speak up. That means transparency, that means accountability, and that means a clear paper trail to ensure you are not punished for exercising your voice. You have a right to advocate for yourself — and the time is now. It is, by all accounts, the safest, most protected moment we have ever seen for pilots and professionals to speak truthfully about the negative impacts of this program and demand better.
Who Can Attend? The HIMS Basic Education Seminar is open to pilots, AMEs, psychiatrists, neuropsychologists, airline representatives, legal advocates, and other stakeholders working within or affected by the HIMS system. If you're unsure whether you're eligible, reach out to us — or register directly through the HIMS seminar page linked below.
Coalition Meet-Up: P4HR will be organizing a brief in-person meet-up during the seminar for anyone who wants to connect, share stories, or get support. More details to follow as the event gets closer.
If you're planning to attend and want to connect with fellow coalition members beforehand, feel free to email us so we can coordinate and support one another.
If you know someone in the program who’s struggling in silence, please share this with them. They don’t have to walk this alone anymore.
We’ll keep you posted as we await a formal response from the program leadership. Thank you for continuing to stand with us.
