Pilots for HIMS Reform Releases Comprehensive White Paper
Pilots for HIMS Reform (P4HR) is proud to officially release its comprehensive White Paper: “Mission, Vision, and Strategic Direction (2026–2030)”. This document represents the most complete and structured articulation of P4HR’s reform agenda to date.
Why This White Paper Matters
For decades, the FAA’s HIMS ecosystem has operated with limited transparency, minimal independent oversight, and insufficient publicly available outcome data. While originally created with the stated goal of protecting aviation safety, mounting evidence has raised serious structural concerns.
- Lack of verifiable outcome data
- Indefinite or lifetime monitoring practices
- Opaque standards and discretionary decision-making
- Coercive dynamics that discourage early help-seeking
- Due process and civil liberties concerns
This White Paper is not a complaint. It is a blueprint.
What the White Paper Includes
- Executive Summary and national context
- P4HR’s Mission and Vision (2026–2030)
- Core Values: Safety, Science, Humanity, Transparency, Collaboration
- Documented current impact and reform efforts
- Legislative roadmap including the P4HR Act of 2026
- Alternative program development through AEROPath
- Independent data collection via the HIMS Voices Project
- Strategic roadmap for institutional reform
Aviation safety and pilot well-being rise and fall together.
A system that drives problems underground does not strengthen safety. A system built on transparency, evidence, and due process does.
